Green Vintage Coat

It's finally gotten cold enough to drag out bring out my vintage coats.  One of these days I will show you them together in one post but for now, I'm wearing the emerald green vintage coat.  I got this off ebay several years ago and I love the big platter collar and the emerald color.  The only downside was the horrible plaid lining.  So I try to keep the coat closed when I'm wearing it unless I have on a favorite sweater and then the clashing patterns is oh, so chic.  Yeah right.

So I confess to you that I'm guilty of committing a horrible fashion faux pas and it's not tucking my shirts in.  I hate it.  I refuse.  I won't do it.  Ever.  So now that you know how I feel about it, I really should've tucked in my shirt for this look.  The sweater bunched up all day leaving a wasteland of shirt hanging out and I kept yanking the sweater down to make sure I didn't look like I slept in this.  I didn't really.  So next time I probably won't tuck in the shirt, I'll choose a different sweater.  That's how I roll.

But really this was supposed to be a post about my vintage coat and not my wardrobe malfunctions.

What do you think about the coat?

I'm tired of those old dead leaves.  Snow would be very pretty in this picture.

Milo is back on the blog!  He missed our photo shoots!

  5. As I was reading your post is started snowing! I think your green coat is beautiful and I love the detailed buttons. Winter layering always leaves me feeling a bit bunchy, wrinkly, and un-tucked as well, but I think you look great in these photos.

  18. That coat is gorgeous and the colour so de jour right now too. Loving the detailing on the buttons and as for your shirts I totally get it too. I really dislike tucking them in too, though sometimes I fold them in slightly, they do roll down from time to time but meh, better than tucking them hehehe!

  26. Emerald is such a beautiful color, and so in right now :) This coat couldn't be more perfect! I hate tucking in my shirt too! But since I have a huge problem to find a well-fitting shirt in the first place, I don't face this dilemma that much often :)

Have the loveliest of weekends, my dear!
