Dressing Up Navy

I'm sorry for my unplanned absence.  I was sick in bed with another round of bronchitis and sinusitis.  Bronchitis: 2, Me: 0.  Fall and my allergies don't get along well.  But......I had to get myself together on Saturday for the wedding of a girl I work with.

It was a late afternoon wedding and a late evening reception.  I knew it was going to be an elegant occasion so I chose a navy shift that has some shimmer to the fabric (although you can't tell in these pictures) with a tweed jacket over it.  I wanted my arms covered in church and because I was afraid I'd be cold.  The temperature was near 80 degrees, but I've learned the hard way to always be prepared.

And no, we didn't have snow last weekend, but the temperature was near freezing and we had a few drops of sleet.  And this weekend was 80.  Craziness.

Yes, another one of my cats in the picture.  I have wayyyy too many cats. I did not sleep in my dress either.

Dress:  Thrifted (Goodwill)
Jacket:  Thrifted (Goodwill)
Shoes:  Coach
Bag:  Vintage
Sunnies:  Thrifted
Tights:  Target
Jewelry:  Thrifted, Vintage
Lips:  Chanel Flamboyant

The bride!  Isn't she beautiful?

The street to the reception.  I just missed this older couple walking hand in hand down this street.
